Upright wings and posts

Wings or a post standing up from the shank, for visibility and silhouette.

Tie the wing material in pointing forward over the eye, then lift it upright and put several turns of thread tight in front of it to keep it standing.

For divided wings, separate the two halves and bind them in a V with figure-of-eight turns.
